Project Nurture Book Drive

Join Project Eagle on Friday, April 19, from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for a Happy Hour & Book Drive event! Help us nurture a love of reading in the children in our programs by donating new infant and toddler books (check out our Amazon Wish List for suggested titles). You'll also have a chance to meet Project Eagle's new Director, Lisa London, while touring Educare Kansas City classrooms.

Light appetizers, beer, wine and soft drinks will be provided. This event is free to attend, but RSVPs are required.

Books donated will be added to our Birthday Book Club bookshelves. Our latest family survey show that 71% of our home-based program families have fewer than 25 children's books in their home. Our Birthday Book Club assures that every child in our program will be able to take brand new books home every year on their birthday!

Research shows that access to books is associated with more opportunities to build children's literacy skills; it is critical to help young children be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills. Strong reading skills form the basis for learning in all subjects!
